We are looking for changemakers, leaders, innovators, and general hustlers to play the role of LOI Connectors to amplify impact in youth innovation and entrepreneurship across Canada and beyond!  

 

As a Connector, you will be the face of entrepreneurship in your local city or region, connect current and aspiring young entrepreneurs and remove obstacles for youth to participate in entrepreneurship. The goal of each connector is to provide young leaders with a platform to have honest conversations about entrepreneurship and innovation, openly share their ideas, and create a strong peer community.

 

Responsibilities

  • Become a community connector in your city to universities, high schools, partners and community leaders

  • Become a LOI educator and contribute to LOI’s online content via social media posts, blogs, articles, interviews, etc. on topics in entrepreneurship and personal development

  • Work with fellow LOI connectors to lead and speak at a series of quarterly networking events, such as fireside chats, meetups, innovation jams, pitch nights, etc.

  • Become a touchpoint to youth with business ideas and connect them with resources, ideas and LOI’s incubator program

  • Attend monthly leadership meetings with LOI and advise on initiatives and ideas to fuel LOI’s mission

 

Qualifications

  • Experience in entrepreneurship or within a startup environment

  • Past experience in facilitating events and community building

  • Desire to give back and guide young leaders

  • Passion for entrepreneurship and making a positive difference

  • Self-starter with the drive to take initiative and work independently

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Excellent time management and organizational skills

  • Must be under 25

 

Commitment

  • Minimum 1-year commitment

  • 3-5 hours per week
